Welcome to History of Children, a website meant to encourage research into an often silenced group in history: children. While looking for the ways in which children have been examined in the history of colonial America, the author of this website penned this article of historiography to show the importance of studying the influence of children and childhood in various fields. Unfortunately, we still have a long way to go in uncovering the ways in which childhood influenced those who inevitably influenced the course of history.
